Whether you are looking for a Nursery School place for your child or are looking at your child joining at other times and in other years we hope that this page will give you some helpful information about how to go about the Admissions process.
As a first step we hope that you will find this web site helpful and that you will want to look further at Holme on Spalding Moor School. You can click here to download a copy of the School Prospectus. Alternatively you can contact the school either by telephone, Fax or Email (see below) and we will send you a paper copy.
You may decide that you would like to see around the school. If so please contact Tracey or Ann at the school (Telephone 01430 860287) and we can agree a time when you can be shown round to get a feel for what life is like at the School.
We can usually inform you if there is a place available for your child at the visit or very early in the Admissions Process.
If you wish to proceed, please complete the Student Registration / Admission and Parental Details Form to be found at the bottom of the School Policies Page This will need to be completed and provided to the school. If your child is joining us from another school, a recent school report can be very helpful to make sure that the class teacher can learn about the progress that your child has made and any special needs which they have.
Once a date for your child to start has been agreed there is then the issue of getting all the necessary items of school uniform. The school uniform items are listed in the School Prospectus . School Uniform is stocked by the School Wear Shop (Fashionwear) located in the High Street in the Village (Tel: 01430 860966).
Children should be brought to the School Office on their first day at 8.45 am. For younger children we are happy for parent(s) to accompany their child to meet the class teacher - for older children this is usually not necessary. We want all children joining the school to feel comfortable as soon as possible and are very happy to discuss any special requirements or issues.
Sometimes children are unsure of a new environment. Please do not worry. If your child expresses any concerns when they go to their class we are very happy if you want to telephone Tracey or Ann later to check on how well they have settled - or alternatively we will telephone you if requested. Clearly it is very important that we have your correct contact details for this and for any future contact with the school.
If your child is starting school for the first time in 2018-19 the Local Authority have published details of their admission arrangements. You can click here to access the information.
We hope that we will be able to welcome you and your children to our school
