Young Voices Concert 2019

WOW....it was amazing!!!

For the second time Holme upon Spalding Moor Year 5 and 6 pupils participated in the Young Voices concert this year. Pupils had been rehearsing for weeks for the huge Young Voices concert at the Motorpoint Arena, Sheffield and all that practice paid off. On Friday 11th January, after an afternoon rehearsal with the conductor, band and 5300 other children, the evening was spent performing a range of different songs and medleys whilst also watching some professional artists sing and dance for the pleasure of the audience. What a terrific experience for the children this was and probably one that they will remember for a very long time!

Young Voices is designed to unify children from across the UK, boost their confidence and provide lifelong memories for them and their families. Teachers & Pupils practised the dance routines and learnt the songs throughout the Autumn Term in their music lessons before they excitedly came together. A Registered Charity Young Voices is the world’s largest children’s choir and has a long standing history spanning 18 years. These spectacular events have featured an impressive array of top talent including Katherine Jenkins, Gary Barlow, Alexandra Burke, Beverley Knight, Joss Stone and many other established acts. On Friday Evening the children excitedly performed alongside Beau Dermot, Tony Hadley and Sharlene Hector . This national event covers London, Manchester, Birmingham and Sheffield, giving the opportunity to over 110,000 children all over the UK to participate and enjoy the experience of singing.
